I'm crossing my fingers that the Spotlight post isn't lost in the server migration issues Gaia is having...

We lost posts last Friday (Thursday?) that haven't reappeared. So not only were we blocked from posting, once we were able to post... those posts disappeared

I see from everyone's threads that some of you lost your art posts. :/ Luckily, most of us are normal mode so it doesn't matter if a day was missed.. (or posted to Discord for those days)

Wrayth, Pie credited you for that day that no one could post (2/26), so you didn't lose a Spirit Pass that day

..... What we also lost was the new chat thread that Pie made for us. > < She created one in the forums for us to post in.... since sometimes we regain the ability to post in forums before Guilds regain function... buuuut that whole thread also went poof. > < ugh

Every time i post in my guild thread, when it should go back to my post from the in between bit it looks like the screen where you are logged out.
If I go to another area of gaia (front page, shops, forums etc) im actually still logged in & when I go back to check my thréad, the post did go through!
Still weird though!

I saw that you needed a break - let us know if you need anything from us! I hope you can find some time for yourself heart Caring for someone is no joke, so I understand how much energy it takes from you. Take care of yourself!

Man the thread thing is kind of a bummer.. I have no idea how to find it now lol. Ugh, we'll figure it out. If we can't post, then no worries, I'll just excuse people on that day!

Thank you so much for noticing that! Everyone here is so kind and helpful. I wish we could all hangout irl. This art challenge is really just what I need in my life. Something that I can do for me and that doesn't have to be on schedule and gives me a chance to express myself,learn to improve, & have fun doing it! That coupled with writing and reading, has been my solace and my sanity.

I have taking care of her most or less since I was 11 (drinking problems run in our family and I'm the only one who never started) and I'm now in my mid 30s. My uncle has been sober for 7 years this upcoming Dec 3rd. Mom has stage 4 COPD and I do pretty much everything for her, except wipe her butt. I pray it NEVER comes to that. She doesn't understand that I need a work/life balance & since we live together, she thinks I'm on the clock 24/7. Part of that might be do to hypoxia or maybe dementia,another genetic "blessing",but she refuses to believe it. One more reason to not bring a child into the world,at least personally. She's also very nocturnal and I'm not, so that's also a thing! burning_eyes

I actually kind of used my childhood as inspiration for a fanfic I need to finish since the main character had a very similar experience with a single parent/only child dynamic. I posted it on Gaia,dA, and Ao3, if you're interested. It's from the same universe as my Hairties oneshot. I always love feedback and my editor/proofreader is entirely illiterate, but that's because she's a cat! cat_3nodding You would think in her nearly 17 years she would have learned by now. Oh,well,still worth it! emotion_bigheart

@Quaddy or @Pie: What is today's color theme/challenge? When I clink on the link all it does it to Tumblr page and not to a specific scheme. Is it the one in the header or something different?
