Backstory:
THIS IS HIS BACKSTORY FROM CIRCLE OF LIFE, I WILL CHANGE THE SPECIES PER SHOP BUT THE BACKSTORY WILL STAY THE SAME.
Kwesi at one time was part of a large pride, but jealousy among the dominant male was rampant. Any male of that pride was subject to his accusations and would be attacked violently. Several had already been attacked, one passed the other two got away and joined other prides.
Then that male turned his sights on Kwesi who was a strong young male and the females noticed. Even the mate of the dominant male who he will not name other than calling him A.
After a successful hunt where Kwesi brought back the largest kill, the jealously flared uncontrollably and he without warning attacked Kwesi. Kwesi fought valiantly but was forced to run when another male joined the melee.
No matter how fast he ran they eventually caught up to him again, he decided to rest to gather strength before another attack. It came suddenly and Kwesi fought as fiercely as he could, he wounded the second lion, B and then A attacked with a blitz style attack that Kwesi couldn't fully fight off.
Then suddenly he heard another lion approaching, this was getting deadly. Three males against one was not good odds.
Still Kwesi fought, he took a severe attack to his side, causing his flesh to tear and a shot of pain engulfed him causing him to fall to the ground. The pain was unbearable, he knew this was his end.
Suddenly a flash of white appeared in front of him and a shriek of surprise and pain was heard. Then another almost yelp was heard. Kwesi forced his eyes open and say a white female with black spotted pattern fighting the two males, the third hadn't reached them yet although he could smell him.
Kwesi was not about to let a female fight his battle so he forced himself to stand and he fought, B was circling around behind the female to attack from the rear while A attacked from the front. Kwesi threw out his paw and raked his nails across A's back and then lunged at his throat, grabbing him and tossing him like he weighed nothing. He then turned towards B, who was almost on the female. He roared and put himself in between B and the female. He grabbed B by the throat and shook and bit down hard, he refused to stop shaking. His head was dizzy but he continued until he felt B go limp.
He dropped him as if he was disgusting and turned and stood in front of the female and roared a warning at the approaching male. He instantly knew who that was, C had followed A and B. Of course he had he was always with them. Trying to gain favor. C didn't want to challenge him, he looked over at A who was wounded on the ground and B who appeared to be not breathing. He stared at Kwesi, snorted and then backed away slowly turning only when Kwesi was out of sight.
Then Kwesi turned to the female and thanked her. He then said they should find shelter to heal, he would find food afterwards True to his word they found shelter and he went on a quick hunt and brought back enough game for them both to eat and be full for a while.
They slept for what seemed an eternity when a noise woke Kwesi. He sniffed the air and caught a scent he didn't recognize. He stood and tried to walk to the entrance of the small cave he found but he was so dizzy and wobbly he fell back down with an "oof". The one he scented stood in the entrance way, he forced himself back up and stood in front of the female and roared as loud as he could. It woke the female who was confused at first then saw the male and stood before letting Kwesi know she knew him, he was part of her old pride and was a friend. Kwesi was hesitant but allowed the male to enter. Seeing their wounds he immediately turned and said to one behind him, who Kwesi didn't even scent to go and get D and return quickly
The male said he would stay and hunt for them until both were strong enough to do it themselves, he would protect them both and there was to be no argument about it. Kwesi didn't try to argue he was to tired, sleep claimed him again. When he awoke it was to a sharp pain in his side, there was a female in his den and he didn't recognize her She simply said She was D and a healer. Allow her to tend to him and Thandwie. He was unsure who that was until it hit him that was the white female's name. He nodded and allowed her to tend to him. D and the other male, E stayed until they were both fully healed and could hunt successfully on their own.
E told them of A, B and C. The pride knew of what Kwesi had done and some agreed with the outcome others sided with A. Kwesi knew he had to get himself and Thandwie somewhere safe. D also told him Thandwie was injured badly and more than likely will never have offspring. He nodded and said so be it. We can adopt cubs. He never hesitated, never thought for one second about taking another female. Thandwie risked her life to help him, not even knowing him. He would never betray her.
That is how they came to be in this part of the pridelands and why they are a mated to each other only pair.
