Happy New Art Year! This is the 15th annual 100 Days of Art Guild Thread! Please read the thread! This event is an art challenge for participants to draw for up to 100 days on or off theme! The ultimate purpose of this event is practice makes perfect and time spent creating inevitably leads to better art outcomes! This event is, as always, a personal goal to challenge yourself! General Rules for All Modes gaia_diamondNo one is allowed to make/create 'Next Day' art, regardless of mode. Themes are posted daily at 12:00am PST (midnight) along with the next day's themes. Next day themes are a preview for artists who may need to gather supplies doing traditional mediums or for anyone wanting to brainstorm art to create. This is not to be used to draw a day head! gaia_diamondAll modes must submit their art in their designated Gaia and/or Discord Thread to count gaia_diamondAll modes can choose to draw on theme OR NOT. There is also the freebie art collectors section if choosing to draw freebies for others. gaia_diamondNo more art can be submitted after May 11th, 11:59pm PST gaia_diamondAll modes start with 5 Spirit Passes. Spirit passes can be used on days you do not feel like drawing or can't. Think of it as paid time off! Spirit Passes count as a completed art day. Additional Spirit Passes can be gained throughout the event for special occasions and art challenge days! Use them wisely! gaia_diamondCommunicate please! If something is happening in or around your life and you are inevitably missing art days that are out of your control we can work with you to make these days up or excused. Spirit passes are there for anyone to use as a cushion for these unlikely events, but it is completely understandable if something potentially lasts longer than the passes cover. It is your responsibility to let us know, however! In that same sense if you are being marked off on days incomplete and we haven't heard from you otherwise it is an easy fix so do not take it personally if you have been marked/moved before communication has happened. We just legitimately do not know what has happened to you!
Designated Thread Rules for All Modes Art/creations made are to be submitted in your designated Guild or Discord thread to count. You have the option of having a Guild Thread, a Discord Thread, or both. Please see the dedicated 100 Days of Art Event Discord for Discord specific submission rules and how to create a thread there . For Gaia, a topic will be created for you by a mod in the 2026 Event subforum with your name as the title. The 1st post will be created by us with general information. After that all posts are yours. You will then post once a day with the art/creation you made to count as your submission.

Hard mode artists must submit a creation each day. You have to draw/create/craft for at least 15 minutes, but extended sessions are highly encouraged! You cannot start that day's theme until 12:00am PST that day and it must be submitted/posted by 23:59pm PST same day. Art/creations that are late is a missed art day. You will be forced to use a Spirit Pass to complete the day. If you have no Spirit Passes left you will be automatically dropped to Normal Mode for the remainder of the event.

Normal mode artists can draw/create with as much or as little effort as they choose. Normal mode artists are welcome to draw/create on theme or utilize freebie requests. Normal mode artists do not have a deadline to submit art daily in their designated threads however ALL art must be completed and posted by end of the event to count. That means if you draw 50 pieces by May 1tth any art you add or draw after that won't count, you will be noted as having completed 50 pieces of art. If you decide to draw one day, skip some days, draw again do not make placeholder posts. Simply submit the next post when you draw it. Normal mode is not expected to abide by the theme and deadline rules so no order is expected. Because Normal mode does not have to complete 100 days, spirit passes are actually entirely useless for this mode unless you are still challenging yourself in some way. For example, some artists still like to commit to the strict guidelines of Normal mode submission times and amount of effort but want to just draw whatever they want instead so they pick Normal mode and still use Spirit Passes for their own accountability, but it is not required.

Wanting to earn additional spirit passes? Spirit challenges are lengthy and typically multi-day theme challenges that can be completed to earn additional spirit passes. They are completely optional to pick, however in order to earn a pass you must complete the entire challenge! Completing 1 of 2 days would not earn you a pass, however the art would still be on theme for the day.
On multi day Spirit Challenges, they are typically structured like so: - Day 1, you will draw something on theme. Explanations for the theme with examples can be found on the website. - Day 2, you will take someone else's drawing or submission and either add onto it or modify it - At the end of day 2, everyone who participated in both days will be granted a spirit pass

WraytyRose Darkthorn So had a few ideas (orc as stealth rogue who is not actually stealthy but everyone she tries it on is intimidated enough to pretend she was totally stealthy... But in the end drew a similar concept - a beholder rogue who vaporises or turns people to stone, so the party can "sneak" past...

How to draw an orange slice Draw a circle using an orange color Use white or off white and draw a vertical and horizontal line Draw more lines to create more slices. Uneven is better! Make a yellow circle right inside the orange circle Draw spider-web-like lines near the center. Uneven is better! Make connecting lines around each slice (similar as shown) Fill in the white areas (as shown) Make a light layer of orange Layer some yellow squiggles in. It’s okay to go over the white lines a little Fill in more orange Use a white gel pen, etc. to add some highlight specs
Gokuschichi4848 I worked super hard on this,although I made a few alternatives.I actually know how to do these braids in real life (self taught).I hope it's clear enough to read. I will upload a higher definition version when I go back to the library, probably next Monday or Tuesday. If you use this or learned something from it,then I did my job. sdrawkcab Saw Wrayth's tutorial. I don't have an apple on hand, but there's a specific apple drawing I did years ago that I was gonna substitute in. Couldn't find it. Switched to Quad's. The pixel app I downloaded had less features, so I fudged the end steps in Procreate. Discord tends to make my transparent backgrounds white, so I added a background so the shine wouldn't blend in ... Then decided to follow the spirit of Wrayth's tutorial with one of my old drawings that I found
crazypieloverangel This challenge was very fun! It's neat to see other's techniques and the way they think about things! I really enjoyed this challenge ^^ I also learned a lot from others as well!
